Text Message Shopping With Amazon TextBuyIt

AmazonAmazon.com Inc yesterday blazed the trail with their all new mobile phone text message shopping product “Amazon TextBuyIt” which allows mobile phone users to shop online for products via Text Messages.

Amazon TextBuyIt, which launched late Tuesday, lets people text the name of a product, its description or its UPC or ISBN to 262966 (that’s “Amazon” on the keypad) from anywhere their cell phones work — including from inside physical stores.

Howard Gefen, director of Amazon mobile payments, would not directly answer when asked if the service is meant to extend Amazon’s reach by poaching customers browsing at bookstores or big-box electronics retailers.

“We think this is a great experience. We think they’ll use the product…wherever they happen to be,” he said.

John Chow Cola Is April Fool’s Finest

John Chow today proved beyond reasonable doubts that he is the biggest brand on the blogosphere. His April Fool article is my favourite so far of the many blogs I have visited today.

As usual he played a fast one; instead of posting his article on the 1st of April, he decided to post it on 31st March to get people’s attention of the April Fool Day; and yes he got people fooled before they realized they had been fooled

CONFESSION HERE: I was fooled myself.

In his post he make revelations of a deal he had made with coco cola for a new brand called John Chow Cola which gives bloggers enough skill to blog … how witty of him.

When bloggers drink John Chow Cola, post ideas will “pop” into their heads because of the drink’s Liquid Neuro Enhancers. A blogger will never get writer’s block again if he drinks John Chow Cola.

“John Chow Cola taps into a market The Coca-Cola Company has been trying to reach for years without much success. By partnering the world’s best known blogger with the world’s number 1 brand, we’re sure John Chow Cola will become one of the top selling Coca-Cola products. John Chow Cola tastes great and offers increased productivity for bloggers.”

Neville Isdell - Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, The Coca-Cola Company

John Chow is touted as the most controversial blogger on the internet in recent times. He has made several appearances in big magazines and TV Shows. He currently makes over $20,000+ on his blog.

Google Ad Manager Goes Beta

Google Ad Manager

Heard the latest buzz in the Online Monetization World?

After successfully completing the $3.1 billion DoubleClick Inc. acquisition, Google Inc. has moved a step further ahead of the online advertising business by introducing the all new “Google Ad Manager“, an ad-server tool which allows website publishers and bloggers to manage their own ad sales and inventory.

The new Ad Manager service which is currently under a beta test will provide the ad serving for free instead of the earlier paid service that was run by DoubleClick Inc.

With Google Ad Manager, the publisher generates the code from the Ad Manager control panel and then embed it into their websites and blogs similar to what happens with Adsense.

What Google Ad Manager Does

Ad Manager currently addresses the ad management and serving needs of publishers with smaller sales teams and effectively complements the DoubleClick Revenue Center, which is focused on publishers with large sales teams. We’re excited to add DART for Publishers to our suite of products, and we’re committed to the continued development and enhancement of DoubleClick’s offerings.
